Do you also want to start an online business? Today almost every offline shops and products are shifting into the online market. So if you are running a business offline or are thinking of running, then you must first know the benefits of starting an online business.

So, I am not going to tell you about what is the benefits of starting an online business. If you’re a new entrepreneur or want to start an online business quickly, then with the help of this article, I am going to tell you how you can start an online business in just 7 days.

Most of the people don’t have proper knowledge about how they should start their business on the online platform in fewer days. Starting an online business is not a complicated task. You just have to follow some easiest work before selling your first product. You just have to implement some essential task before setting up your online business.

Day 1: Analyze Your Market Properly

On day 1, you have to need to research a different business idea and decide on exactly what business you’re going to start. Now, you might have already done this and if so that’s great.

If you’re still trying to decide what isn’t this to start and maybe you need some ideas then are so many other blog posts out there which help you to give ideas for businesses that you can start online as well as at home.

If you’re trying to choose between a few different ideas then I would recommend doing two different things.

  1. Make a list of pros and cons of each of those different businesses. One of them might stand out to you is having a lot more pros or not having a specific con that maybe you’re worried about or we pose a significant problem.
  2. The other thing you can do is you can look for an intersection between your interests, abilities and how easy the idea would be to implement. So what I mean by that is you can make a list of all of the abilities that you have. Everything from maybe web design skills or writing skills, down to kindness or working well with others.

You can also make a separate list of all of your interests. This might include cooking, technology, reading whatever you like spending your time doing. So if you’re good at writing and you have an interest in technology, then you can be a writer for a technology blog or magazine.

Or if you have a good skill in web design and you’re interested in games then here you can make a website for games businesses.

So you want to try to combine the things that you’re good at and that you are interested in so that you can find some combinations that could potentially turn into businesses.

After that, take all those ideas and think about which ones are probably going to be the most popular.

Day 2: Explain Your Business Plan On Paper

The business plan seems always scary and you might have no idea where to start. So, don’t worry about this. I will keep it as simple as possible.

Basically, when you create your business plan all you need to do is clarify exactly

  • What your business is going to offer?
  • Who will be interested in your product?
  • What the main benefit of your product or your service is for your customer?
  • How much you will be a charge for your product?

For example, if you’re offering social media management services then you’re helping other businesses with their social media marketing. So what you’re offering in social media management services and then you’ll need to figure out exactly who you’ll offer your product to.

So, in the case of social media management, maybe you would offer it to a local hair salon or to photography businesses. After that, you need to get really clear about exactly how your product or service will help your customers.

Day 3: Decide On Branding

Now It’s to time to work on the visual branding for your business. Depending on who you are, this might be the easiest & funniest part of the process for you or it might be the very hardest part.

Not everyone is perfect in the visual arts. So someone can find this a little bit challenging.

Therefore, if you’re not good at visual arts, try to look at someone other business visual brands online.

Look at their online portal, the colors they’re using, their logos and used that to get an idea. But never exact copy other visual brands designs.

This is a damn important task to start an online business. If you’re thinking that you will get success on your online business without a website, then you’re thinking wrong.

In order to create a complete website for your business in a single day, there are a few things that you’ll have to follow.

Unless you already have a web designer, web development skills, you will need to use some sort of comprehensive website service like Wix. There are a whole bunch of different services like that out there.

There are lots of great options out there but I personally prefer Wix. You can also try a different one which fit into your budget and offers & features you want. Most of these services start at $15 to $25 per month and have no long term commitment.

Therefore, it’s a great way to start your business on a budget not investing very much money at friends but still creating a nice looking website.

Once you decided what service you’re going to use to make your website, then I want you to actually step away from the computer and pull out a piece of paper or notebook and just pencil out a quick draft of what you want your website look like.

Stick to 2 – 5 pages for your entire website such as home page, about page, services, or the product page, contact us page. Don’t make it too complicated, just keep it really simple. You can just make bullet point lists of the information that you want to share on each of these pages.

Day 5: Make An Accounting System

Now, in day 5, you’re going to completely switch gears and we are going to work on something very different. On day 5, you need to figure out a simple accounting system to run your business with.

I know this might sound scary and overwhelming that you just rather skip but it’s really very important if you want your business is organized with finances.

You also need to figure out a way for your customers to actually pay you because they can’t buy anything from you if they can’t pay you.

So, for the accounting side of thing, I recommend a service called Wave App. It’s a really useful service for business owners. This is great for when you’re just starting your business especially if you are right now One-Man show.

Basically, using software like Wave or like Quickbooks will just help you track the money that is being paid to you. Track the money that you’re spending on any expenses that your business has and just help to keep everything a lot more organized.

Let me say, you also need to figure out a way for your customers to pay you. You have to a couple of different options. The very simplest one is Paypal which obviously anyone can use it. The second option is you can actually invoice your customers with Wave App

Day 6: Start Doing Marketing Of Your New Business

So, you have taken care of most of the different aspects of starting an online business. But there is one more very important thing that you need to do for your business to be successful in Marketing.

I know, marketing can seem like such a big thing and something that you have no idea where to start with. But it is vital to the success of your business. It’s not actually that scary or that foreign because marketing is just telling about your business and explaining to them how your services and products can help them.

So, on day 6, they want you to make this as simple as possible. All I want you to do is come up with a list of 100 or 200 people who you could tell about your super and fantastic new business.

I am not talking about 200 people who you think might want to buy what you have to sell. I just want you to be telling people about your business.  This can help you become a lot more comfortable with marketing your business. It can help you to become more confident with your business message.

So maybe you think you don’t even know 100 or 200 people but just start making your list. Think about your relatives and friends and those sort of friends on Facebook.

Beyond that, the other thing I want you to start doing on day 6 is Networking. Now, this is yet another thing I don’t want you to overthink. Networking can be as simple as finding a few Facebook groups are related to the industry that you’re going to be working in joining them and then getting involved with the discussion.

The reason I want you to start networking right away is that you need to start building that network of people who can be potentially referring the client to you.

Day 7: Create A Marketing Plan For Your Business

Creating a marketing plan means how you’re going to find new customers? How are you going to get in contact with them? What you’re going to say to them? When do you get to contact them? And then how you’re going to warm them up so that they want to buy?

The hardest step is probably thinking of where you’ll find the customers. I think that once we start brainstorming, you’ll come up with a lot of different places. We are talking about anything from promoting your business on social media to networking in Facebook groups or locally to getting on Youtube.

You actually advertising your business with Google ads or Facebook ads or Youtube ads. Depending on what activity sounds the most enjoyable to you.
